Frankenstein proposed the idea of bringing the dead back to life. The book also impacted the later generations with this very idea such as the zombies portrayed in zombie movies. But is it possible to bring the dead back to life? I remember a couple of years ago I watched an episode from National Geographic (I believe) about the studies of preserving life and bringing something that is dead back to life. My memories are a little vague so don't go around telling people about how this is possible or about how inhumane this is. But I remember them saying something about how frogs can be brought back to life when they are in a dead state, but they have to be frozen and preserved. They brought back two frogs from the dead and they said that if its possible for amphibians then there has to be a way to do the same for humans. Again, this is from a foggy memory of mine. Towards the end of the show, there was this place that said they were conducting studies and said that it will become possible in the future, and that they already have volunteers for the process. The process of doing so would be that they have to bring the person to a near dead state and then preserve them in this freezing thingymabob. A young couple volunteered and they said they want to do this so that they can see and live how the past differs from the future. Again, this is from a very vague memory. But I think that it is impossible to do so because once the brain is deprived of oxygen for more than maybe 5-10 minutes then there are permanent brain damage, but then again, the brain isn't frozen so I'm not sure if it is possible or not.
Morale of this blogg, frogs can survive an ice age.
